Solar Impulse is an electric airplane powered completely by the sun. During the day solar panels on the wings produce enough electricity to power the electric motors and charge batteries. At night the batteries provide enough electricity to continue flying.
I filmed the arrival of Solar Impulse as it landed at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. I was then invited to the departure a few weeks later as part of the media. It was an amazing experience, for which I thank the Solar Impulse social media team.
